The theme of the night? Winter Wonderland. Showcasing five full-bodied champagnes, designed especially for winter, this tasting will bring intensity, depth and complexity in your glass. You will discover the stories behind the labels, from the most prestigious Grandes marques to the new trendy growers in Champagne. Five champagnes, five stories, five winemakers.

Hosting this tasting, the Champagne Dame herself, who will transport you to the French vineyards for the evening.

There are different winemaking techniques that allows more depth and intensity to develop inside a bottle:

  • Extra Cellar Ageing
  • Magnum Ageing
  • Pinot Noir Dominant
  • Extra Reserve Wines
  • Vintage Champagne (or as the French say: Millésime)
  • Barrel fermentation

This masterclass features all of these techniques, a beautiful mix of exceptional wines that have aged for longer in particular storage or format, from the best vineyards in France.

All champagnes will be paired with the most exquisite food made by Neptune Food & Wine: from oysters to Italian focaccias, charcuterie platters and delicious cheese…Everything comes together to spend a great evening with your friends, filled with exceptional champagne, amazing food, and much-needed laughter!

Our 10 champagne partners will showcase their cuvees, a mix of the prestigious Grandes Marques (the most established champagne houses) and grower champagnes who constantly revolutionize the world of champagne. You’ll have the opportunity to discover new champagnes, talk to the importers and buy the champagnes at discounted prices!BONUS: Three food partners selling French delicacies on the day!

Melbourne-based company CACAO will be bringing some exquisite hand-crafted chocolate. CACAO is the benchmark in fine chocolates and one of the leaders in the production of premium macarons and chocolates in Australia. Our friends Milk the Cow Licensed Fromagerie will also showcase some of their delicious cheeses and gift hampers on the day. With over 100 cheeses on their menu, you’re spoilt for choice.Last but not least, Josh Rea, of Gourmet Life will have Iranian and Russian fresh caviar, French truffles and mushrooms, asparagus and cheese. Josh usually only offers these via wholesale to the most prestigious restaurants and chefs in Australia.

SAFETY: All precautions will be taken given the current COVID-19 context, with Hand-sanitizer available, staged entry times, indoor and outdoor stands to allow for social distancing and no tastings on food. Champagne tasting will be offered but you’ll be asked to hold and use your own glass throughout.

TIMES: Three time slots are available for booking: 10am-12pm, 12-2pm and 2-4pm. People that fail to come within their dedicated time slot might not be able to enter due to extremely limited capacity. We will be closely monitoring the number of attendees prior to and during the event, based on the government’s restrictions on the 25th of July.

Champagne Sunday Soiree – PERTH

Featuring five of the prestigious Laurent-Perrier cuvées, this tasting will take you through their unique qualities while diving into the story of the house. Run by two sisters, Laurent-Perrier is one of the world’s most famous champagne houses and the fifth largest producing champagne house. They are most well-known for their best-selling and pioneering Cuvée Rosé (which you will get to taste!)

And who better than Laurent-Perrier Brand Ambassador, Caroline Desaulle of France, to share this fascinating tale? She will host this event alongside Emperor Champagne Head Sommelier, Kyriacos Christodoulou.

They will introduce each wine and its character, what makes it so special, how it is made and even what food to pair it with. There will also be the opportunity to ask all your champagne questions.

This unique tasting event will be hosted at Moana Hall, a gorgeous heritage building located in the heart of the CBD. With its 1900’s interior, original hardwood floors, huge arched windows and a spacious balcony overlooking Perth, Moana Hall will transport you to a Gatsby inspired era.

Whilst you taste each of your champagnes, you’ll enjoy delicious grazing platters filled with manchego cheese, herbed crusted chicken breast, pumpkin feta, stracciatella, grapes and much more.
